PDF Listen is a static website. It has no backend, no database, and no upload endpoint. The short version of this policy is that there is nowhere for your files or your reading to go.

Your PDFs

A PDF you open is read by code running in your browser tab and stored in that browser's own IndexedDB storage, along with your reading position. It is never transmitted to us or to anyone else. Clearing your browser's site data for this domain deletes it permanently — that storage is the only copy, so keep your original file.

The voice

Reading aloud uses your operating system's built-in speech engine through the browser's Web Speech API. Which voices exist, and whether any of them contact their vendor, is determined by your device and browser, not by this site. Choosing an offline (“on device”) voice keeps the whole thing local.

What we collect

Nothing. There are no accounts, no cookies set by this site, no analytics scripts, and no third-party trackers. We do not know that you visited, what you opened, or how far you got.

The pages are served by Cloudflare, which — like any web host — processes the network requests needed to deliver files to your browser and may log them for security and reliability. That log is Cloudflare's, is not linked to any account here, and never contains your PDF.

Accounts

Sign-ups are currently disabled and no account data exists. If accounts are ever enabled, this page will be updated before the first one is created, and the change will be visible here at the date above.

Your choices

• Remove one PDF: use “Remove” on its row.
• Remove everything: clear site data for this domain in your browser settings.
• Use it offline: after the first load, the site works with no network at all.
