Terms of Service
Last updated 5 September 2026
PDF Listen is a free tool that reads PDF files aloud inside your own browser. Using it means accepting these terms.
What you get
Permission to use the site as it is, for personal or commercial reading, at no cost and with no account. There is no subscription, no usage limit, and nothing to cancel.
Your files stay yours
We claim no rights over anything you open. We also never receive it — the file is processed in your browser and stored only there. You are responsible for having the right to read the PDFs you open.
Your only copy
Documents live in your browser's storage. Browsers evict storage under pressure, and clearing site data removes it immediately and irreversibly. This site is not a backup. Keep your original files.
No warranty
The site is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. Text extraction is imperfect: PDFs encode layout, not sentences, so columns, footnotes, headers and hyphenation can be read in an order you did not intend, and scanned pages have no text to read at all. Do not rely on it where a misread word would matter — legal, medical, financial or safety contexts included.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damages arising from use of this site, including lost documents or lost reading progress.
Acceptable use
Do not use the site to infringe copyright, and do not attempt to disrupt it for others. That is the whole list.
Changes
These terms may change; the date above always reflects the current version. Continued use after a change means accepting it.
